The US Department of health is making headlines with its new recognition in the successful treatment of cancer with marijuana. The site recently added that cannabinoids exhibit qualities of killing cancer cells, while protecting normal cell growth. Recent studies in rodents have concluded that cannabinoid ingestion is effective in the prevention of certain cancers, while possibly benefiting chemotherapy treatment. While they are hesitant to say how these rodent tests will carry over to human studies, it does help to legitimize further medical marijuana testing.
